1) This episode begins with a quick recap of events that have taken place in this season so far. This makes sense, considering the fact this would have been the midseason premiere under normal circumstances.

2) This episode’s title sequence features a silhouette of Virginia holding her fingers and thumb in the shape of a gun over her head. Simultaneously, in the background, a group of armed people stands on the dam at the entrance to Morgan’s community. The show’s title is in red.

3) As Virginia prepares to give Hill and the rangers the order to execute Grace, Sarah, Luciana, Daniel, and June, she holds her arm over her head in the same pose we saw in the title sequence.

4) Virginia telling Morgan, “We’re all the same” is a very similar theme to what we saw in season five of The Walking Dead, when the Crazy Guy told Rick, “We’re the same!” after Glenn set him free from Terminus, meaning they (Terminus) were just the same as he and his minions. This also parallels Sherry telling Morgan he’s no better than Virginia is (Which, on a side note, is just an absurd statement).

5) Had Strand known about the Outcasts the whole time? Are they in an alliance with him? He seems pretty in synch with them, despite the fact he wasn’t with Morgan, Althea, or Dwight when the trio met the Outcasts (In the season’s fifth episode, “Honey”).
