4) Luciana

Basically, the whole reason I’m even talking about this is that Luciana had revealed that she believed there was a saboteur inside Tank Town. Without her raising the concern, I might not have even had a theory this week.

Luciana also mentioned that, with that revelation, she realized that the spy could be someone she knows. Maybe even someone she let into the site, as she was the one overseeing the whole operation, clearly, it’s an idea that doesn’t sit well with her.

Or does it?

I don’t like saying this, but what if the saboteur at Tank Town wasn’t someone Luciana let in? What if it was Luciana herself?

I know it’s crazy, but hear me out: Luciana’s one real connection to the group was Nick, and he’s long dead. It’s not like she was married to the guy, or had his kid, or anything like that, so even her connection to Alicia isn’t necessarily that strong when you think about it.

Also, while it might sound counter-productive, if Luciana were the spy, acknowledging the existence of a spy is both a great tactic and a great cover. On the one hand, it sows dissent and paranoia among the communities, constantly suspecting other people of being a spy. And on the other hand, “What kind of spy reveals that there might be a spy,” you might ask? The kind of spy who knows that, logically, most people wouldn’t suspect the person who made that suggestion because it would seem so counter-productive to what the spy was trying to do. It’s brilliant.

The question is as relevant now as it was when it was first asked nearly two thousand years ago: “Who watches the watchmen?”

Right now, if Luciana is one of the said “watchmen,” maybe someone should be watching her.

Likelihood Of Being The Spy: …Medium?
