Fear The Walking Dead, Handle With Care: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
11) This episode is the first time we’ve seen the long-term damage to Daniel’s face since he was patched up after being shot by Strand in season three’s penultimate episode, “Things Bad Begun.”
12) Additionally, as Daniel explains to Strand the true extent of that damage, he tells him, “You will eat soup for the rest of your life.” This explains the rather innocuous detail from the beginning of the episode: Daniel making soup for everyone. He does this because he can’t comfortably eat anything else.
13) Who set the TNT? Since no one seems to think Daniel did, and he doesn’t believe the whole “A rock fell on it” explanation, does that mean the Beginners’ spy did?
14) While June speculates as to the nature of Daniel’s behavior, she mentions his long history of deceit. Could he be behaving erratically because, subconsciously, he believes he should be distrusted?
15) Daniel tells Morgan and Charlie, “The last time these things were happening in my mind, I set a whole place on fire.” This refers to him setting the Abigail hacienda ablaze in the season two midseason finale, “Shiva,” where he saw the infected Celia Flores kept as his wife, Griselda, and the people he’d killed back in El Salvador.
16) It seems that everyone will go to Dallas to investigate the area for The Beginners’ underground(?) lair, which they were told about by Dakota. …Am I the only one who finds trusting her to be a bad idea? What if it’s a trap?
