1) This episode’s “Previously” recap focuses on the Beginners’ attack on Tank Town and Virginia’s suspicions of Wes’s involvement in that attack from “Bury Her Next To Jasper’s Leg,” as well as Dakota’s revelation to the rest of Morgan’s group of her belief of Virginia’s suspicions that the cult was literally underground in the previous episode, “Handle With Care.”

2) Apparently, The Beginners use walkers as fertilizer for their gardens. While they seem to be fine, considering some parts of the human body’s ability to retain diseases after death (Possibly even the zombie virus), should they really be using walkers for that purpose? Is that healthy in the long run?

3) The Beginners call the dead “‘Posters” (Likely short for “Composters”), approximately the twenty-seventh unique name for the dead in Fear The Walking Dead.

4) This episode gets its name from The Beginners’ headquarters, to which Riley introduces Alicia, Althea, Luciana, and Wes by saying, “Welcome to The Holding. I think you’re gonna like it here.”

5) Alicia, Luciana, Al, and Wes being welcome to The Holding is continuing a long tradition in The Walking Dead universe of a member or portion of the protagonists being welcomed to the home of a hostile group, as we saw with both Woodbury and Terminus, both of which were not what they seemed.
