At 14 yrs old Walking Dead’s Cailey Fleming achieved a universe trifecta

The Walking Dead’s Cailey Fleming came on the scene an older version of Judith Grimes in season nine. This was after a six-year time jump, and it was surprising to see this miniature version of her parents. She had the Sheriff hat that her father Rick Grimes and brother Carl both wore, a mini version of her mother Michonne’s katana and holding a gun much too large for a child of her age.

She introduced herself as Judith Grimes, and the fandom cheered. “What Comes After” gives us the introduction to an older Judith, but this was also the episode that Rick Grimes was taken off by helicopter to parts unknown with Anne/Jadis. This was also Rick Grimes’s last episode of the series. Seeing this little Grimes stepping into her father’s shoes was a balm to help heal the loss of Rick, who has been with the series since the beginning.

It will be exciting to see where season eleven takes Judith’s story, as this will be the final season of The Walking Dead. The final season will consist of 24 episodes and will premiere on AMC on August 22, 2021. Fans are dreading and anxiously awaiting this premiere.

Cailey Fleming Walking Dead, Star Wars, MCU

We are familiar with her story in The Walking Dead universe. Her character is a sweetheart of the show considering she was conceived and born into an apocalypse. There was a time early on, at the fall of the prison, when viewers thought she had died during that altercation. Fans were thrilled to see her alive and being cared for by Tyreese.

Before Fleming entered The Walking Dead universe, she starred in a film of a much older fandom. In Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker, she portrayed a young Rey in that film. Her screen time was limited, but she still gets to put that feather in her cap. Fleming posted a photo of herself and Daisy Ridley, who played the older version of Rey in a May the 4th be with you post.

If you haven’t heard, Fleming will earn her place in a third universe when the Disney+ series Loki premieres on June 9. She will play a young Sylvie in the series. I am not schooled in all things Marvel, so I am unsure of who this character is. But I am sure those of you who know are excited to see another actor in TWD Family represented in this universe.
