Christian Serratos main squeeze David Boyd releases new single

The Walking Dead actress Christian Serratos has been in a relationship with David Boyd since 2014, and the couple has one child born in 2017. On June 4, Boyd released his first single, “Stay or Walk Away.” You can stream the song wherever you listen to music.

Serratos has played Rosita on The Walking Dead since season four and will be in the eleventh and final season of the series. Boyd is the Danish alternative rock band New Politics lead singer, and he is quite the dancer. He created his own signature move called “boyding.”

The pandemic has hit many industries hard, including the music industry. Boyd used this time to continue writing, which has lead to a solo project. His new work will span from rock to hip hop, and “Stay or Walking Away” is the first single for his solo work.

"“This project has given me the ability to fully express and explore all the musical styles I’ve always loved and draw from my current life experiences,“ Boyd explains. “No genre is off limits and I pull from every influence I’ve ever had.”"

Who is David Boyd?

Boyd is known as the lead singer for the band New Politics.  Boyd’s bandmates are Soren Hansen and Louis Vecchio. In 2009, Boyd and Hansen had been writing songs and sent two of them into the Danish National Radio P3’s Karriere Kanonen competition. Of the 973 bands that entered New Politics was one of the 42 chosen to perform. They enlisted former drummer Poul Amaliel to round out the trio for the performance. Vecchio replaced Amaliel as the drummer, and the band has released five albums since its formation. Their sound is “punk, pop and electronically induced dance rock.”

The band’s song “Harlem” was released in 2012, and this song got them US radio air time. In 2013 they would go on tour with Fall out Boy and Pink. By 2014 they would go on their first headlining tour with Magic Man and Sleeper Agent as openers. Since then, they have released three more albums, have opened and headlined many other tours, and been featured on late-night TV.

Serratos fellow Walking Dead castmate Jeffrey Dean Morgan helped get the word out about Boyd’s new single, and Norman Reedus also shared this news in his IG stories.
