AMC to release The Walking Dead: Origins and 11 weeks of Reveals

Fans of The Walking Dead are longing for anything new related to the final season of the series. The final season will begin airing on August 22 on AMC, and so far, only three photos have been released for this season.

Now AMC has announced that it will feature a series of specials that will focus on some of the most loved characters. June 15 will mark the beginning of the “11 Weeks of Reveals until Season 11.” Every Thursday, new photos, trailers, and more will be released, counting down to the premiere.

There will also be 4 of the special features titled The Walking Dead: Origins. These specials will be from the point of view of a single character and include new interviews, narrations by the actors and feature clips of the most iconic moments of those characters’ lives in the series.

Daryl’s Story – Thursday, July 15

Maggie’s Story – Thursday, July 22

Negan’s Story – Thursday, July 29

Carol’s Story – Thursday, August 5

The Walking Dead Season 11

Much is expected of this historical season of The Walking Dead. This series has aired for over 10 years, with 153 episodes so far. The storylines and characters draw people in, but they stay for the fandom. This series has created spin-offs, podcasts, websites, cons, cosplayers, artists who devote their art to the show, and so many other offshoots, making it a unique fandom. People have made life-long friends because a TV series brought them together.

This announcement of the “11 weeks of reveals” is just what the fandom needs to soothe the pain of losing this series. We want to celebrate this upcoming season, and we want to see teasers, trailers and photos to having something to carry us through until the premiere on August 22.
