The Walking Dead’s Dan Fogler in a new limited series for Paramount+
By Renee Hansen
Dan Fogler plays Luke in The Walking Dead series and is an original member of what is known as Magna’s (Nadia Hilker) group. He is an easy-going creative who believes music is necessary to keep hold of humanity during trials one faces in life. Deadline has just released information about a new project that Fogler will star in.
Fogler will join Matthew Goode, Miles Teller, Giovanni Ribisi and Colin Hanks in a limited series, The Offer. This series is being produced for Paramount+ and will chronicle the making of the 1972 film The Godfather.
The story is based on Al Ruddy’s experience in making the original film. Ruddy produced The Godfather and won his first Oscar for Best Picture for this film. Teller will join Ruddy as executive producers for The Offer.

Teller will star as Ruddy, Ribisi will be the Colombo crime boss Joe Colombo, who worked with Ruddy to smooth tensions between the original filmmakers and the Italian American community in New York. Fogler will play director Francis Ford Coppola and Hanks will play Barry Lapidus, the Gulf and Western executive. Goode will play Robert Evans, the head of Paramount, and he shared his story in a book titled The Kid Stays in the Picture.
The series originally cast Armie Hammer to star as Ruddy, but you know what happened there if you read the news.
Fogler has been filming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 3, where he reprises his role as Jacob Kowalski. He has starred in all three of the Fantastic Beast films. Additionally, he is known for his roles in The Goldbergs, Take Me Home Tonight, Love Happens and Europa Report.
He made his Broadway debut in 2005 when he played the role of William Berfee in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Fogler won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for this role.
Next, he will star in Spinning Gold, a biopic about Neil Bogart, the 1970s record producer who co-founded Casablanca Records. Fogler will play Buck Reingold, another of the co-founders. This film will feature an all-star cast including Kenan Thompson, Jason Isaacs, Jason Derulo, DL Hughley, Neil Patrick Harris and Richard Dreyfuss.
Fogler and the rest of The Walking Dead cast will return to AMC on August 22 when the eleventh and final season of the series premieres.
