1) “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over.”

These are the immortal words of Yogi Berra, wherein he basically said that people shouldn’t count others (Or themselves) out until they’re truly beaten or, in the case of a zombie apocalypse, dead.

If ever there was someone who personified this in Fear The Walking Dead, it’s Strand, who, as he himself said, in spite of his humble beginnings, and in spite of all the things he did, not only survived the nuclear explosion but, he always finds a way to survive and keep bouncing back.

That actually makes Strand admirable, if anything does. In a zombie apocalypse, you need to believe that, so long as you have the mental and physical capacity to keep surviving, you can keep surviving.

Think of it like this: The more you convince yourself that you are doomed, the more doomed you’ll be because, even if you have the ability and the means to keep surviving, you won’t try.

Ultimately, your continued survival in a zombie apocalypse comes down to your ability to recognize that, if you aren’t dead or otherwise incapable of staying ahead of zombies, you’re still alive, and therefore, capable of picking yourself up and in the future into the future.

It ain’t over ’til it’s actually over.
