1) Virginia

To be honest, the way the second half of this season of Fear went, you could almost be forgiven for forgetting about Virginia. After her empire crumbled, she seemed to be so far behind everything.

However, don’t let that or her end fog your brain and forget just how awful she was.

While she did keep her word to Morgan and kept everyone from the convoy alive, she also made a lot of them do the shit jobs (In Strand and Alicia’s case, literally). She also sent some of them (Like Charlie and Janis) on suicide missions, trying to clear out a herd of walkers from a molasses warehouse in the hopes of creating an army. This is something she could have easily done just by saying, “Hey, there’s a cult of weirdos around. You may not like me, but these people are worse, and we need to be ready.”

Strand succeeded in uniting the people at the molasses factory and got rid of all the walkers. After that, it seemed that Virginia chilled out about Janis, then proves she hadn’t by railroading her when Cameron was found murdered. This gave John no chance to prove her innocence, strapping her to a tree and letting walkers tear her apart.

All of that would be bad enough if it weren’t for the fact that she not only knew that Janis didn’t murder Cameron but that Dakota, her daughter did. Worse still, as June pointed out before killing her, Virginia did nothing to put a stop to her, ensuring that Dakota would, eventually, kill another person.

Honestly, I could forgive Virginia for being ruthlessly pragmatic, but when you know your daughter has killed someone, and you don’t stop them, whatever she does afterward falls on you. Innocent people might have lived had Virginia just had the guts to do something instead of letting an innocent woman die a brutal death.
