Josh Mikel will star in a new film and some news on his band

In season seven of The Walking Dead, we were introduced to a savior named Jared. He would go on to be forever known as “Shitty Jared,” and no tears were shed at that character’s death. But, the actor, Josh Mikel, is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Deadline recently announced that Mikel would join the cast of Blumhouse’s new tv movie Unhuman.
Unhuman will be the second film in the 8-film agreement between Blumhouse and Epix. This film is a high school horror film where a bus crashes that is carrying a group of high school students on a field trip. They quickly realize they are being stalked by an attacker, which puts them in a fight for their lives.
Along with Mikel, the film stars Brianne Tju, Benjamin Wadsworth, Ali Gallo, Uriah Shelton, CJ LeBlanc, Lo Graham, Drew Scheid, Peter Giles, Blake Burt and Dana Wing Lau. Production for the film has begun in New Orleans.
What is the name of the band that Josh Mikel is in?
I recently found out that Mikel is in a band called Let’s Be Ghosts. They performed at The Camp, an annual TWD Family event, over Memorial Day weekend in Peachtree City, Georgia. Fans loved to see Mikel on stage during this event. You can view a video of the performance along with some great photos from the event in Mikel’s IG post below.

Since leaving The Walking Dead, Mikel has starred in many other projects. He has had roles in Black Lightning, The Dirt, The Righteous Gemstones, 50 States of Fright and Greenland, to only name a few.
His upcoming projects include portraying drummer Roger Hawkins in the Aretha Franklin film Respect. He will play a character named DJ Strangelove in the Netflix sci-fi comedy, They Cloned Tyrone.
Ragged Heart is an independent film where Mikel plays Declan Purcell. This film is a supernatural film set in Athens, Georgia, set to release sometime in 2021. You can view the trailer on the movie’s website.
