By Renee Hansen
The Walking Dead: World Beyond actress Annet Mahendru has recently completed filming for her role as Huck in that series and has already been cast in a new project. Deadline has reported that she will star in the faith-based film Stu.
Fans of World Beyond are patiently waiting for any news for the upcoming season. Deadline shared that Mahendru recently wrapped filming for the second season. She will once again play the role of Huck, who in season one was revealed to be a spy for the CRM.
Mahendru will join recurring cast members Alexa Mansour, Aliyah Royale, Hal Cumpston, Nicolas Cantu, Nico Tortorella, Julia Ormond and Jelani Alladin.
Annet Mahendru cast in Stu
Stu is a faith-based Mark Wahlberg – Mel Gibson production with the script being written by Rosalind Ross, who will also direct for the first time. Gibson and Wahlberg will star in the film, and Walhberg will produce with Stephen Levinson and Jordan Foss.
Mahendru will join the cast Stu, but her role is currently unknown. She will star alongside Jacki Weaver, Teresa Ruiz, Ned Bellamy and Niko Nicotera.
It is reported that the film is loosely based on the story of Reverend Stuart Long and his journey from boxer and actor to priest. The plot hasn’t been released yet but is reported to be based on something very close to Wahlberg’s heart that he has been developing for years.
Mahendru is known for her roles in Tyrant, The Americans and The Following. She stared in one episode of fellow TWDU actor Tom Payne’s series Prodigal Son. Next, you can see her alongside another fellow TWDU actor, Michael Cudlitz, in Manifest West. She also has roles in Martin Eden, an adaptation of Jack London’s autobiographical novel and the horror film Crow.
We will soon say goodbye to Mahendru’s Huck on World Beyond, but we will have many other projects to view her amazing acting skills shortly.
As soon as we have a release date for the second season of The Walking Dead: World Beyond, we will be sure to share that news.
