One thing is for sure, the walkers of The Walking Dead always look awesome and scary! Many a Walker have left fans scared and wincing at the screen, and Season 10 boasted some amazing new walkers!

From the memorable Bicycle Girl in Season 1 to the Well Walker in Season 2 – the next 8 years of walkers just kept the new looks coming and coming. This was very much proven when we were introduced to some even more terrifying appearances.

Walkers have been at the forefront of TWDU in all aspects, be it past characters we know and love or those who pose a threat. They are the reason the apocalyptic world is the way it is. Below are walkers featured in Season 10 that served as memorable and challenged our favorite characters to quite the fight!

‘Princess’s Display’ (Look at the Flowers) – If anyone can make walkers into a weirdly inviting display – it’s Princess! I mean come on, walkers enjoying some cocktails and an illegally parked walker getting a fine; maybe she had a visual display job pre-apocalypse?! A fully different take on the dead’s usual appearance and actions and to see some of our favorites laughing. A refreshing look at this apocalyptic world!

Whisperers – Real walkers or not, there was no bigger threat to all communities than these sneaky villains! The Whisperers were certainly terrifying and destroyed many things within the communities that can’t be brought back. Not to mention the pikes or Dante. They brought with them some of the saddest scenes of the show to date.

Beta’s Death (A Certain Doom) – A chilling end to a chilling character. I think Beta embraced his death and especially at the hands of what he wanted to become. The walkers that surrounded Beta almost resembled an eye shape, in which Beta was at the center like a pupil. He envisioned them as being one with him. This scene may be one of the most chilling in TWD history and brought season 10 an iconic moment. With so many Whisperers in this scene, it’s easy to be terrified by the sheer number. Thank goodness for the unlikely pairing of Daryl and Negan saving the day…or night!

Container Walkers (Home Sweet Home) – Maggie definitely had to fight for herself and her group’s safety on her quest to find missing group members. They got into a sticky situation when a container filled with walkers became a threat. These walkers fought for their escape and forced the door open on Maggie who used everything she had to shut it. She received a nasty scrape on her arm because of this. Luckily, Elijah and Daryl pushed the door closed with her. The team managed to contain (pardon the pun!) the walkers. They definitely brought a lot of stress and panic to the opener of the bonus season 10 episodes.

Negan’s House Walker (Here’s Negan) – Negan was a world away from the man he is now back at the start of the apocalypse. It’s fair to say he didn’t really know what to do when handling walkers when they first began to appear. A prime example of this can be seen when he struggles to fend off a walker on his property before a brave and badass Lucille takes matters into her own hands and shoots it. This walker has to be pretty iconic as it is one of few that didn’t fall at the mercy of Negan.
