Strand is always prepared

3) Have A Backup Plan.

In this season of Fear The Walking Dead, we were reintroduced to Cole, a member of The Clarks’ and Strand’s group back in season four, who was thought long dead after the demise of the group’s then home at Dell Diamond Stadium.

During that reintroduction, whenever Strand was mentioned, Cole made a point of making cynical quips about him doing anything to save his own skin.

Part of the reason for this cynicism stemmed from Strand revealing to Cole back at the stadium that he kept a truck loaded with supplies in the event that things at the stadium were going south. While Strand didn’t end up going through with that, even as it looked like they were going to run out of food, it was a smart plan all the same.

No matter where you are, or what point you’re in a zombie apocalypse, you will need a backup plan because, all too often, things go awry, and you need to know what your next move is going to be so that one thing doesn’t cause a huge meltdown that gets you killed.

Whether it’s an escape plan, a battle strategy, an alternative route, or a different crop you plan to harvest, it doesn’t matter; so long as you have backup plans for whatever you’re doing, you’re already ahead of the game.
