Columbus, Ohio
While Cleveland and Cincinnati have been deemed by professionals as places not to be when the zombies rise up, one large city residing in Ohio is actually one of the safest bets for anyone looking to endure the end of days coming at the cold decaying hands of the undead, and that is the one and only Columbus.
It is probably safe to assume that when someone hears Columbus in relation to the idea of the living dead there, mind most assuredly will drift toward thoughts of Jessie Eisenberg’s career-defining performance as the character named after the Ohio location in both Zombieland and its very necessary sequel Zombieland: Double Tap. But they should realize that the city itself is a happening joint to occupy one’s time while surviving the apocalypse.
There has been a lot of talk about the need to excel at things such as fortification, defense management, and resources to find a cure when it comes to preparing for the onslaught of cannibal corps invaders. While those are all legitimate factors, they are certainly not the only ones to consider.
Columbus has exceptional capabilities in terms of defense and somewhat decent ratings when it comes to curing or containing the menacing ordeal. But where they really excel is in the food supply department. They have a booming agriculture and manufacturing industry, allowing anyone within their city limits to be able to enjoy a secure food source until the last dead head falls.
