Lubbock, TX

Texas is a vast state full of many notable cities, including Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. But none of them are quite prepared for a zombie apocalypse like Lubbock, Texas.

The Realtor.com study actually found Lubbock to be the number one rated place to be when the undead start to take over the world. Several factors were considered, like additional power sources, water supply, and the number of guns and ammo the area would have stockpiled should the dreaded event ever occur.

Lubbock is notoriously known for having thousands of gun owners, and it would not be difficult to arm a substantial resistance force to fight off the living dead. There are also about 10,000 people occupying a place of residence in the Texas city that work in the medical and health field, which is very necessary when going up against the threat of cannibal corps annihilation.

According to the Emergency Management Coordinator for Lubbock County, Clinton Thetford, the people of Lubbock are used to dealing with extreme climate conditions and have a knack for weathering the storm as well as assisting one another in times of need. Even Lubbock Mayor Dan Pope told the press that these citizens could handle whatever zombie issue comes their way solidifying its dominance in the apocalypse survival game.
