In this episode, another threat emerges to put an important member of the survivors in danger while also threatening to stop the doomsday cult dead in its tracks.

Here are the named characters who died:

George and Hayes (Michael Papajohn / Thom Hallum) – During a flashback that shows Teddy’s escape from prison, lethal injection wasn’t enough to keep George down when he came back to life and bit Hayes right in front of Teddy in his cell block. Teddy finished him off with a pen through the skull after his reanimation.

Cole (Sebastian Sozzi) – Under normal circumstances, it would have been great to see Cole again. He survived the walker invasion of the stadium only to emerge as a threat to anyone his group encounters. After leading Alicia, Teddy, and Dakota into a trap, underestimating his opposition leads to his downfall, and the rest of his group is eliminated as well.

Douglas / Vivian (Kenneth Wayne Bradley / Rhoda Griffis) – A couple of familiar faces to fans, Douglas and Vivian were a married couple who were at the stadium when walkers overran it. They fell in behind Cole and became bandits but were devoured by walkers and finished off by Alica with shots to the head.

Other notable deaths

The prison excitement was definitely interesting. Several inmates and guards were seen in a state of chaos, with walkers inside the walls doing a lot of damage while Teddy made his escape. But then you also have that somewhat disturbing scene with his mother that sheds more light on his upbringing.

More new faces died as a part of Cole’s group. Some were part of a nice walker buffet, while others were shot by Alicia or put down by Dakota, but anyone from that group had a bad time with that interaction.
