Fear the Walking Dead actor Garret Dillahunt confused fans on Twitter, but he quickly cleared it up. The confusion originally came from an article by Pioneer Scoop, who mistakenly named Dillahunt instead of Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

The hot topic has been whether or not Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be on the Amazon series The Boys. The series is gearing up to film its third season, and Supernatural hunk Jensen Ackles has joined the cast as Soldier Boy. Fans of Supernatural and The Walking Dead have had high hopes that Morgan will also join the cast. It is still unclear whether or not Morgan will be in the series. The comment in the article isn’t a quote but a comment from the author. Morgan will be filming the final season of The Walking Dead through March 2022.

You can see the thread below where Dillahunt, having some fun, comments that he can’t wait to work with Erick Kripke, showrunner for The Boys. In the Pioneer Scoop article, the author used a photo of Morgan but mistakenly printed Dillahunt’s name in the body of the article. Fans then proceeded to hope that both actors would be in the series. Dillahunt did say he won’t be in The Boys but hopes to one day work with Kripke.

Garret Dillahunt new movie

Well, until he can work with Kripke, Dillahunt will keep very busy. About a month ago, Dillahunt took some time from his busy schedule to talk with Undead Walking. It was a pleasure to speak with him and learn of all the projects he has before him. At that time, he was filming Where the Crawdads Sing, which has wrapped filming recently.  Based on the book of the same title by Delia Owens, this film is scheduled to release on June 24, 2022.

Also, around that same time, his latest film, Army of the Dead, was released. In that film, he played Martin, a man who works security for the casino owner Bly Tanaka. This film, directed by Zack Snyder, was a big hit for Netflix.

A project that Dillahunt is extremely excited about is called Sprung. He will be executive producing this series with his friend Greg Garcia. The two have previously worked together on Raising Hope and The Guest Book. This series follows a group of prisoners who are released from jail during a global pandemic. These criminals weren’t maximum security types but were serving time for lesser crimes such as Dillahunt’s character, Jack, jailed for selling weed. When they are released, they set out to acclimate back into civilian life. Dillahunt described the series as humorous with a lot of heart.

During our interview, he was unable to share some of the cast names as they weren’t finalized at the time. Since then, he has posted the names on his IG page, and they are available on the IMDB page for Sprung.

Joining Dillahunt in this series will be Shakira Barrera (Glow), Illeana Douglas (Goliath), James Earl (Brews Brothers), Phillip Garcia (Scandal) and Clare Gillies (Sin Ultra).

I jumped over to check Dillahunt’s IG page, and look what I found. The cast has completed the final table read today.

Best of luck to Garret Dillahunt in Sprung and his other projects. He shared this thought in parting during our interview, and I loved it so much I have to share it once again.
