Norman Reedus shares a story about wearing pink panties

The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus is known for doing some outrageous things over the span of his life. His whole acting career came about while drunk at a Hollywood Hills party. He was yelling and doing the things you do when you’ve had too much to drink, and it impressed a casting director, and the rest is history.

Reedus has starred in many movies, some that have become cult classics, like The Boondock Saints movies where he plays Murphy, one of the two MacManus brothers. Recently Reedus shared a video of a character he played in another film that received negative critical acclaim but has a cult following from its viewers. Pawn Shop Chronicles has a stacked cast that is a telling of three intertwined short stories. Reedus plays Stanley, a meth dealer that three meth heads, played by Paul Walker, Kevin Rankin and Lukas Haas, want to rob. It is an over-the-top film filled with dark humor and wild escapades. You can view the official trailer here. 

Via his social media accounts, Reedus shared a video clip that appears to be fan-made of his character Stanley. Since he is a meth cooker and dealer, his attire consists of a gas mask and apron. In the post, Reedus shared a bit of information that only the cast and crew would be privy to.

"Did this movie with some cool people way back when including the late paul walker who was very cool. Under that smock I wore pink panties which made it awkward leaping over the bar while someone blasted a shotgun at me Maybe not the best…"

In addition to Reedus, Walker, Rankin and Haas, the film stars Elijah Wood, Brendan Fraser, Matt Dillon, Vincent D’Onofrio, Chi McBride, DJ Qualls, Ashlee Simpson and Thomas Jane. And, Reedus’ fellow Walking Dead castmate Michael Cudlitz.  Another Walking Dead tie-in to this film is that Adam Minarovich, you remember Ed in the series? He is the screenwriter for this film.

This film won’t appeal to everyone with its dark humor and wildly excessive storylines; if you are a fan of films like Violet & Daisy, The Liability and The Big Hit, check this one out.

Fans love hearing Reedus’ tales of all the crazy things he has done in his life. This pink panties story is just another fun look into his life.

Reedus will return as Daryl Dixon in the eleventh and final season of The Walking Dead in August. Although this season will be the last for the series, Daryl will live on in a spin-off series where he will team up with Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride).
