The Walking Dead screenwriter LaToya Morgan’s Dark Blood release date

Fans of The Walking Dead love to see cast and crew in projects outside of the series. TWD Screenwriter LaToya Morgan has partnered with Walt Barna in a new comic book series, Dark Blood.
Morgan wrote The Walking Dead episode “Guardians” in the ninth season that premiered on March 3, 2019. This episode gave more insight to the Whisperers and introduced Alpha’s (Samantha Morton) second in command, Beta (Ryan Hurst). The group captured Henry (Matt Lintz), and Daryl (Norman Reedus), and Connie (Lauren Ridloff) rescued Henry and Lydia (Cassady McClincy).
Other projects Morgan has served as a writer for including Shameless, Parenthood, Complications, TURN: Washington’s Spies and Into the Badlands. She was an executive producer for Into the Badlands and TURN: Washington’s Spies.
Dark Blood #1 release date
Morgan and Barna’s comic series Dark Blood will consist of six issues and will be available on July 21 at comic shops. You can use the locator comicshoplocator.com to find a shop nearest you. You can pre-order at Boom! Studios webstore.
The first edition printing has sold out to distributors requiring a second printing before the first has been released. The second printing will be available on August 11.
The comic is published by Boom! Studios set in Alabama in 1955. Avery Aldridge, a WWII vet, tries acclimating to civilian life after he returns from the war. As he tries to provide for his wife and daughter, he discovers that he has acquired some strange new abilities. These abilities will give him power in a society that never wanted him to have any.

Colorist A.H.G. and letterer AndWorld Design also joined Morgan and Barna to create this new genre-bending series. Valentine De Landro did the cover art of the first printing with variant covers by Juni Ba and Dan Mora. The second printing will feature a new cover by Paris Alleyne.
