Okay, let’s get this out of the way right now: I love Boston. No matter where I am, it is my home. My roots in that city go long and deep. I say this because I want everyone to know that what will follow in this article isn’t to dump on my town. Still, to simply address the problems it presents in a zombie apocalypse, problems that I know anyone who’s been in the city for more than half an hour will recognize. Boston Would Be TERRIBLE In The Walking Dead

I will lay out these problems because I wouldn’t want to see my home torn apart by the undead. I’m a realist, and knowing these problems as I do, I believe it’s my duty to warn people about these problems specific to the city of Boston so that they not only know to avoid the city in a zombie apocalypse but why they should avoid it.

Would Boston survive in The Walking Dead?

Boston is, supposedly, the best place to survive a Walking Dead scenario. Being from Boston, I’m not so convinced.

Now, you might be wondering why I’m writing this. The answer is simple: After seeing this article, which names Boston as the city most likely to survive a zombie apocalypse, I could immediately see some flaws in the logic. It made me think that people in my town might get lulled into a false sense of security about the city, a mistake that might cost them their lives when, by just avoiding the city, they could easily survive.

I hope that, by the time I’m finished here, people understand why Boston would be a terrible place to be in during a Walking Dead scenario.
