Comic-Con was full of announcements for The Walking Dead universe. The Walking Dead World Beyond announced its premiere date of October 3, revealed the first-look clip, and promoted new cast members to series regulars. One of those characters is Dr. Leopold Bennett, who Joe Holt plays.

Leo is the adoptive father of Hope and Iris. He took in Felix when his father kicked him out after discovering his son was gay. He was a former leader of the Campus Colony who was moved to a research facility in New York as he is known as the “smartest man alive.” His success in developing a cure for the virus has made him a person of interest to the CRM. The fear now is that his life is in danger at the hands of the mysterious group.

Season 2 will prove interesting for Leo and his family as more and more is discovered about the CRM. In the first look clip that was aired at Comic-Con, we learned that Will, a former member of Leo’s security team, has escaped the CRM and assured Iris and Felix that Leo is still alive.
