Kerry Cahill in Amazon’s Welcome to the Blumhouse film Madres
By Renee Hansen
Kerry Cahill plays Dianne, a member of the Kingdom, on The Walking Dead. We first met Dianne in season seven when she was on a feral pig hunt with Ezekiel and some others. She is often seen in the background but always ready and willing to fight, lend a hand, or voice her opinion if needed.
Cahill will return for the eleventh and final season of the series. The last time we saw her was in 1016 “A Certain Doom,” when she was part of the militia at the hospital. She aided Gabriel, Scott and Rachel in defense of the hospital until they have no choice but to evacuate. They meet at the rendezvous point in the woods and she helps the wounded.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC for the season 11 premiere on August 22.
Kerry Cahill in Madres part of the Welcome to the Blumhouse
The next chapter of Welcome to the Blumhouse anthology of films is getting ready to release. Blumhouse Productions produce this collection of films for Prime Video as Amazon Originals. The first form films were released in 2020 with themes of “family and love as receptive or destructive forces,” while the next four will center on “institutional horrors and personal phobias.”
October 1, Bingo Hello and Black as Night will release followed by Madres and The Manor on October 8.
Kerry Cahill stars in the third release Madres. Set in the 70s, this story follows a Mexican American couple who are expecting their firstborn. After moving to California in a small farming community, the expectant mother starts to experience horrific visions. They try to determine if this is caused by a legendary curse or something more wicked.
This film is executive produced by Jason Blum, Jeremy Gold, Marci Wiseman, Lisa Bruce, Sanjay Sharma and Matthew Myers.
Cahill is joined by Tenoch Huerta, Ariana Guerra, Evelyn Gonzalez, and Elpidia Carrillo.
