The orchestra performing live renditions of the series top hits were made up to look like walkers from the show. The Manchester Evening News has reported walker sightings in London.
King’s Hall in London and Disney+ offered a special viewing of the premiere at a red carpet event. Die-hard fans also had an opportunity to win tickets to attend this viewing. Those winning the coveted tickets came dressed in their best cosplay of their favorite Walking Dead characters.
Ahead of the event, four of the orchestra members performed as buskers, complete in their walker make-up, along the South Bank. This drew many looks from passers-by as it isn’t every day you see zombies playing stringed instruments in the streets.
The Covent Garden Sinfonia are known for their live events featuring their renditions of movie and TV soundtracks. The 22 piece orchestra, led by director Ben Palmer performed E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial at a sold-out performance at the Royal Albert Hall.

With a team of SFX hard at work, it took them 8 hrs to transform the orchestra members into walkers. They used state-of-the-art prosthetics and lots of SFX makeup to change the appearance of the living to the undead. Their costumes consisting of the traditional coat tails and ball gowns, but this time they were tattered and distressed to give the look of walkers featured in The Walking Dead series.
