Previously, on The Walking Dead

1) This week’s “Previously, on The Walking Dead”  focused on Negan’s issues w/Maggie’s leadership, Eugene’s teams “assessing” by Commonwealth bureaucrats, Yumiko’s discovery that her brother is at The Commonwealth, and Maggie being left behind by Negan, is voiced by Lauren Cohan.

2) This episode begins right where the previous one left off, with us seeing Maggie fall from the train from underneath the train.

3) The ending of the pre-title sequence, with Maggie being on the ground, swarmed by walkers, is reminiscent of Glenn’s infamous fake-out death in the season six episode, “Thank You.”

4) This season’s title sequence, just before the end, features a squadron of Commonwealth soldiers standing firm against the approaching walkers, something I hadn’t noticed last week.

5) After the title sequence, as Father Gabriel enters the train, we see a few walkers sitting in the seats, only stirred by his falling in from the ceiling, suggesting that was how they died. One question: How would those people have died still sitting in their seats on a train that, beyond being stuck, appeared otherwise undamaged? You’d think, if they died in a crash, they’d be tossed all over the car…
