The Walking Dead, Acheron, Part II: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
Eugene and The Commonwealth
18) It makes perfect sense that much of what Eugene told the Commonwealth assessors was a lie, considering how long he’d been lying about having a cure for the virus (From when he met Abraham at the beginning of the apocalypse until leaving Gabriel’s church in season five).
19) During his “confession,” Eugene mentions “observing the act.” This is a reference to the voyeurism of Abraham and Rosita in season five’s “Self Help.”
20) Apparently, contrary to Ezekiel’s assessment of him in the previous episode, Mercer was a West Point graduate and not a cop.
21) In his announcement of the group’s acceptance in The Commonwealth, Mercer mentioned the “legacy constitution.” Did he mean the Constitution? Do The Commonwealth adhere to the U.S. Constitution? If so, they’d be the first community in The Walking Dead to formally do so.
22) Roy is the second named character to die this season.
