The world lost another great actor this week. Willie Garson was known for many roles, most notably as Stanford Blatch on the HBO series and films Sex and the City, who died from pancreatic cancer. The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan remembered his friend and fellow castmate in a throwback photo from a sitcom pilot called Black Sheep.
Garson was known for his humor, and it is evident over social media that he was a loved and respected man. His son paid a beautiful tribute to his father on social media moving us all to tears.
Morgan shared that whenever Garson is, he has drawn a crowd, and people are laughing.
Fuck. It’s been a day, still can’t process. We lost one of the best in @WillieGarson I just know wherever he is, he’s drawn a crowd, and folks are laughing. A big hole for those of us here. We miss and love you. But we are so much better off having known you. Much love brother.

Willie Garson died at age 57 from a private battle with pancreatic cancer
Garson was in over 75 movie roles and appeared in over 300 tv episodes. Often he would randomly pop up in a movie or series and add some much-needed comedy. His smile was contagious, and those eyes. Who can forget those eyes?
Morgan, Garson, Jason Bateman, Anthony Tyler Quinn, Jana Marie Hupp and Larry Poindexter filmed a pilot for a sitcom called Black Sheep in 1994. The series was about a failed Wall St. exec who moves back to his hometown to work in his brother’s auto shop. The pilot aired on Fox, but the sitcom was never picked up.
Look at the photo below that Morgan shared on Twitter. Look how young they all were. Morgan said that Garson would send him the image with a snarky comment, and Morgan would remind Garson of his hair.
30 some odd years ago. Babies. @WillieGarson and me, with Bateman and Anthony… our first pilot and shot at the big leagues. Willie found this some years ago… and would randomly send to me with some snarky, hilarious comment. I’d remind him of my hair. pic.twitter.com/qpESo3NqyM

Hilarie Burton Morgan added her emotional post that has left me spent.
The world mourns the losses of our celebrities even tho we may have never met them. We have watched them on screen and feel like we have gotten to know them through the characters they portray.
Willie Garson will be missed. RIP
