The Walking Dead: World Beyond looks at 6 yrs since Jadis has been gone

The Walking Dead: World Beyond will see a major character addition with crossover character Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) from the flagship series The Walking Dead. At the end of the trailer for the upcoming season, we see Jadis in full CRM uniform.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, World Beyond co-creator Matt Negrete shed some light on what viewers can expect from Jadis’ return.
Her comment in the trailer, “I know that the Civic Republic is the last light of the world, and my purpose is to create a new era on this planet,” shows that she is loyal to the CRM. Another thing that Negrete points out is the decorative rope on her uniform, indicating she may be from a different part of the CRM.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond Jadis in the CRM
It has been six years since we saw Jadis hop on the helicopter with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). What has she been up, and where has she been?
Negrete is excited to revisit a character he wrote for the flagship series. He has always felt she was an interesting character, and now we will see a very different side to her.
Jadis was the leader of the trash heap people on The Walking Dead. She shared with Father Gabriel that she traded people with the CRM for supplies her people needed. This is what she was doing with Rick when she found him half dead on the river bank after the bridge exploded.
It will be interesting to find out what Jadis has been up to since we last saw her. Negrete said the writers won’t be ignoring the past six years. Jadis will be sharing bits of what happened after she and Rick left in the helicopter.
Fans of Rick will be glad to get any type of crumbs regarding what happened to him.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond returns to AMC on October 3 with the premiere of its second season. This episode will be available to stream on AMC+ on September 26.
