The Walking Dead, Aaron’s dream

1) The episode’s “Previously on The Walking Dead”  focused on Maggie and Negan carrying on the mission to Meridian without the rest of the group. Yumiko convincing the Commonwealth assessors to take her and the rest of Eugene’s team in, Eugene meeting Stephanie, and the overall dire state of things in Alexandria, is voiced by Ross Marquand.

2) Though a dream, this episode marks the first appearance of the Blond Wolf since being blown away by Rick while trying to jump him in season six’s “Thank You.”

3) Before waking up, Aaron has a flashback to Mays telling him to stop playing Russian roulette in season ten’s “One More.”

4) Judging by the video quality, The Commonwealth uses VHS for its orientation videos. That’s among the most advanced technology we’ve seen in use this far into the apocalypse, at least in terms of video communication.

5) At the end of the Commonwealth orientation video, you can see a banner hanging over the street which reads, “Fight the dead. Save the living.” This is a spin on the slogan first seen in The Walking Dead’s season three trailer for San Diego Comic-Con: “Fight the dead. Fear the living.” If you remember anything about the person we were first introduced to in that season, this could be a bit of ominous foreshadowing.
