The Walking Dead, desperate times

11) While discussing the origins of The Commonwealth, Tomichi says that The Miltons made this place a haven.” Uhh, since I can’t imagine they have multiple governors, the plural confuses me. Is the governor establishing some kind of dynasty?

12) Aaron menacing Keith with a walker is the first time that tactic has been used by a member of the group in The Walking Dead, having only previously been used by hostiles like The Governor up to this point.

13) Despite Eugene’s team being told there would be, at no point do we see any regular police in the Commonwealth, only soldiers.

14) As the episode ends, we see that Keith’s hand has been amputated, the first character to have that happen to them this season.

15) This episode likely gets its name from Aaron, Carol, Jerry, and Lydia, exploring the literal ashes of Hilltop and learning about Connie possibly still being alive from Keith (Whom Aaron was seconds away from killing).
