Josh Hamilton stars in Dark Skies horror film
By Renee Hansen
With Halloween quickly approaching, I thought it would be fun to look at some horror films from our favorite Walking Dead actors.
Josh Hamilton is one of the new cast members of The Walking Dead’s eleventh season. He plays Lance Hornsby, a member of the Commonwealth, and serves as the Deputy Governor of that community. Hamilton has been in many films and series. One fantastic horror film that he stars in is Dark Skies.
Hamilton was cast as Lance Hornsby, and he is one of the characters from the comics that needed to be cast just right. Hamilton’s Hornsby looks like he walked right off the comic page. He’s got the plastered on a smile, the outfit, and that almost too slippery personality.
Hornsby is trying his best to aid Eugene in his recent trouble in the Commonwealth. But what are his true intentions? It seems the Commonwealth is set on finding the location of Alexandria, and everything regarding Eugene is a setup. It will be interesting to see if Eugene breaks under pressure or keeps his wits about him.

Dark Skies (2013) is a sci-fi horror written and directed by Scott Stewart (Legion and Priest) and produced by Jason Blum. Just having those names associated with it lets you know this is a good film. The film is currently available to stream on Netflix.
Hamilton stars with Keri Russell, Dakota Goyo and J. K. Simmons in this underrated horror film. Critics have been harsh on this film, but many viewers of horror love this one.
Something is terrorizing a suburban family, and when unexplained events occur, they seek the help of someone who knows of similar circumstances. You can view the trailer below and see some of the unexplainable events and how they start to escalate, causing significant issues for the family in and outside of their home.
Lance Hornsby will return on The Walking Dead Sunday, October 10 for “For Blood,” the part 1 finale of season 11. This episode is currently available to stream on AMC+.
