The Walking Dead introduces Sebastian

Oh, Sebastian, what a douche.

Let me ask you a simple question: Going off of what we’ve seen of Sebastian thus far, do you think he or his girlfriend would have survived if it weren’t for Eugene and Stephanie saving their asses?

Of course not.

I’ll even go one further: Do you think Sebastian has ever killed a walker? Do you think he even knows how? I don’t

You see, going off of what we’ve learned so far about the Commonwealth and how its class system works, I think that Sebastian, and probably many people in the Commonwealth, have no real clue what to do when confronted with the dead. For them, perhaps since the outbreak began, they’ve always had other people take care of the dead, treating them as pests and simply calling an exterminator to deal with them.

That might work well for roaches, but against zombies, that’s a weakness, and there was no more significant evidence of this than just how close the dead got to Sebastian and Kayla without him so much as running away. He expects someone to, at all times, swoop in and get rid of the dead for him. The very idea of someone not doing it, without so much as him even having to ask, doesn’t even compute for him.

As proven by how close Sebastian came to dying, going around with that expectation for long and, eventually, it will bite you, no pun intended.

To survive a zombie apocalypse, you must know that you have to fight the dead sooner or later; if you don’t do it, the dead will kill you. Simple as that.

It doesn’t matter who you are, what your status is, what you think about having to do it, or anything like that; you must fight to survive.
