The Walking Dead Promises Broken
10) After Eugene stops a gang of walkers from eating him, Sebastian calls him a “plebeian,” the second nickname for the “lower classes” in the Commonwealth just in this episode. I wouldn’t be surprised if we hear more as the season progresses.
11) While yelling at Mercer about not saving him (And, yet, not thanking Eugene for doing just that), he calls the dead “rotters.” This term is the same name that the survivors at Grady Memorial Hospital used, though the likelihood of that being anything but a coincidence is small. We don’t know whether this is the name used throughout the Commonwealth yet, as Sebastian is the only person in the community to refer to the walkers by a nickname so far.
12) This episode likely gets its name either from the promises made between Negan and Maggie (Specifically, agreeing to continue the mission to Meridian in exchange for ending the beef). Or from Stephanie and Eugene getting blood on Kayla and punching Sebastian (Respectively), effectively breaking their end of the deal Lance Hornsby made to guarantee their freedom.
