Austin Amelio designs skate decks for Deathwish Skateboards
By Renee Hansen
Austin Amelio is one of the few actors who crossed over from The Walking Dead to Fear the Walking Dead. Dwight was introduced as a Savior and then reintroduced on the spinoff series while he was searching for his wife Sherry (Christine Evangelista). His fans also know that he is an excellent artist, and now his work is being featured on Deathwish Skateboard decks.
Amelio posted the announcement on his Instagram page featuring some of his work. Many of his TWD Family members posted their excitement for him, including Steven Ogg, Mo Collins, Colman Domingo and Steven Yeun.
Deathwish Skateboards has three decks on the site designed by Amelio. You can also purchase via the No Comply website.
Fear the Walking Dead Austin Amelio as Dwight
Fear the Walking Dead will release the first episode for season seven on AMC on October 17. Amelio will again portray Dwight in this series. When the nuclear bomb was launched, he and his wife Sherry were last seen taking cover in a bunker. Going into season seven, everything has changed due to the nuclear blast and the fallout that followed.
After years of searching, Dwight finally found his wife, Sherry. Both of them had been tormented by their treatment from Negan (from The Walking Dead series) and struggled to get their relationship back on track. At the end of season six, things changed, and Sherry finally realized Dwight loved her as she is, and they were finally able to reconcile properly.
It looks like they will first appear in season seven’s “Till Death,” which will air on AMC on November 14. The synopsis for this episode reads:
"Dwight and Sherry’s code and future come into question when they are tasked with retrieving someone."
Fear the Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 17 with the premier of season seven. This episode is currently available on AMC+.
