Fear the Walking Dead: Colman Domingo hypes us up for the S7 premiere
By Renee Hansen
Fear the Walking Dead’s seventh season will premiere on AMC on October 17. This new season will bring many changes to the landscape and atmosphere after the nuclear explosion in season six. One character who always rises to the top, Victor Strand, will be heavily featured in the premiere episode “The Beacon.”
Colman Domingo plays the ruthless character Victor Strand, and the last we saw of him, he had taken cover in a building with newcomer Howard (Omid Abtahi) and survived the blast. He also made the revelation that his way is the only way. He has often made choices he feels people expect him to make, but after he chooses his path and survives, he is even more convinced that his ways are best.
Now, he is in a battle with Morgan Jones (Lennie James), a man he tried to kill in season six, and it should make for an exciting season.
Domingo has shared some very fun BTS photos on his Instagram page. In one photo, he welcomes Gus Halper, who will play Will this season.

Our friends at Hidden Remote have shared the clip below that shows Will and Strand as they battle walkers in the fog with only lamplight and instinct to guide them. They seem to be in an area that would require face masks because of the fallout, but neither are wearing them.
In another photo that Domingo shares, he and Will are in the company of some other unknown men. Who could they be?
The first episode of this season will feature Strand with a synopsis that reads:
"While most of the landscape has been destroyed by nuclear warheads, Strand thrives in one of the few inhabitable places left. Strand’s search for survivors uncovers a stranger with an unexpected connection to his past."
Fear the Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 17 with the premier of season seven. This episode is currently available on AMC+.
