The Walking Dead’s James Devoti cast in Netflix thriller, Reptile

The Walking Dead actor James Devoti played Cole, one of the Wardens from Meridan. He joined Maggie as she returned to the communities in season 10c. Now Devoti has been cast in a new Netflix thriller, Reptile. 

Sadly, Devoti’s character Cole was slain by the fearsome Reapers. This was the group Maggie, Cole, and the other Wardens lost their home and many of their people’s lives. The Reapers made quick work of the Wardens, and Elijah is the last remaining member, but we won’t know his fate until season 11 returns in February 2022.

Cole was loyal to Maggie and willing to fight anyone to keep her safe. It would have been nice to keep Cole and the others around longer to know more about this group. To find out how they formed, how they came up with their name and met Maggie. It’s always a letdown when the series introduces a group, and we learn nothing about them.

James Devoti cast in Netflix’s Reptile

Deadline has reported that James Devoti will join the cast for Netflix’s crime thriller Reptile. Devoti will play a character named Bennett Rossoff. He was announced with additional new cast members Mike Pniewski, Thad Luckinbill, Sky Ferreira and Michael Beasley.

They are all joining previously announced cast, Benicio Del Toro, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Silverstone, Michael Pitt, Ato Essandoh, Frances Fisher, Eric Bogosian, Domenick Lombardozzi, Karl Glusman, Matilda Lutz, Owen Teague and Catherine Dyer.

Grant Singer directed and co-wrote the script with Benjamin Brewer. The film follows a hardened Detective played by del Toro, who is investigating the brutal murder of a real estate agent. He tries to discover the truth behind the murder as nothing is as it seems and, in the process, finds himself dismantling the illusions in his own life.

Devoti’s other upcoming projects include Tyson’s Run that he will star with TWDU’s Major Dodson. And a TV series, First Kill, a horror drama about vampires.
