The Walking Dead Reaper Jacob Young shares on screen death

The Walking Dead’s season 11 part one finale episode saw the death of multiple members of the Reapers. As Maggie, her crew, and her army of walkers infiltrated Meridian, with the help of Daryl, causing quite the battle between the groups. One actor whose character Deaver was killed, Jacob Young, shared his death scene on social media.

Deaver first appeared in the second episode of season 11, “Acheron: Part II.”  This was in the kick-ass scene of the Reapers coming down the street at Maggie and the group. They made quick work of many members of Maggie’s team.

He was also present when Pope killed Bossie by throwing him into the fire and when Pope ordered Daryl and Leah into the building, the Reapers set on fire.

He fought hard in the end, and he went up against Maggie, and just as he was about to kill her Father Gabriel shot him from his perch.

If you check out the caption, Young doesn’t seem too upset about his death and gives shout-outs to Maggie, who tried to kill him, and Father Gabriel, who succeeded. He also teases about the new Tales of the Walking Dead anthology series. Perhaps he knows something we don’t know.

It would be fascinating to see more stories about the Reapers and what they did before we met them. Pope described some of their work at the onset of the outbreak and their survival of the bombing, making him think they were chosen by God. They also served in the military together, so there are many avenues the story could take.
