The Walking Dead: Cold Storage is a four-part web series that aired in 2012 on AMC’s YouTube channel. One actor who starred in this series is Daniel Roebuck as a character named BJ. Roebuck has over 250 acting credits to his name, and now he will add Grandpa Munster to that list.

Cold Storage follows a guy named Chase (Josh Stewart), a survivor who seeks shelter in a storage facility in Atlanta. He meets up with a guy named BJ (Roebuck) and quickly learns that BJ isn’t someone who can be trusted.

It is a short web series directed by director, EP and SPX guru for The Walking Dead franchise, Greg Nicotero and written by John Esposito, who wrote other webisodes for the franchise.

The Munsters reboot casts Daniel Roebuck

Rob Zombie is creating a reboot of the classic The Munsters series. He has recreated the whole subdivision of Mockingbird Heights for his production for Universal 1440 Entertainment. This film will receive a theatrical and Peacock streaming release in the fall of 2022.

The first casting news was recently released by Deadline for the three of the characters. Jeff Daniel Phillips will portray Herman Munster, Zombie’s wife and muse Sheri Moon Zombie will be Lily Munster and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster.

You can see the actors in full costume in Zombie’s Instagram post below. Uncanny!

The original Munster series aired on CBS from 1964-1966, consisting of 70 episodes. This series received higher Nielsen ratings than the similarly themed The Addams Family.

Zombie has chased after the opportunity to reboot The Munsters for 20 years. He is known for his gruesome horror movies like  House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects and two Halloween films. He will most likely tone down the gore for The Munsters reboot as this family is traditionally non-gory. But he is Rob Zombie and does what he likes, so perhaps this reboot will be something entirely different for Herman and his family.

Congrats to TWD Family Daniel Roebuck on his new role in The Munsters reboot.
