Demetrius Grosse returns to Fear the Walking Dead season 7
By Renee Hansen
The second episode of Fear the Walking Dead’s seventh season gave us a look at a familiar face. Actually, two versions of the same face, one human, one walker. This was in the form of actor Demetrius Grosse as he was the walker head of Emilie LaRoux, Virginia’s bounty hunter from season six and his twin brother Josiah.
If you remember, Emilie was hired by Virginia (Colbie Minifie) to hunt down and kill Morgan Jones (Lennie James). This plan didn’t work out so well for Emilie, and he was bested by Morgan, and Emilie’s head was delivered to Virginia instead.
This action was a hardcore move on Morgan’s part, but it’s kill or be killed in this apocalypse. Whatever became of the head in the box was unknown until now.
Demetrius Grosse returns to Fear the Walking Dead
It wasn’t much of a surprise to see Demetrius Grosse in this episode, as his name was listed on the opening credits. There were also whispers on social media that he was returning to the series and a glimpse of him in the trailer.
In season six, you will remember Emilie tells Walter that the bean recipe is his brothers. We didn’t know then that we would eventually meet this brother and that they were twins. At the end of the most recent episode, we see Josiah around the campfire; he has Rufus by his side and a box labeled “Morgan Jones.” This is a box that was supposed to hold the head of Morgan but instead ended up containing Emilie’s zombified head.
Josiah holds up his brother’s undead head and talks to it. It seems Josiah is holding a grudge against Morgan for killing his brother. Meaning Morgan now has two enemies this season. It will be interesting to see which one Morgan encounters first.
New episodes of Fear the Walking Dead air weekly on AMC and AMC+.
