Fear the Walking Dead season 7 episode 2

Survival in a zombie apocalypse is hard work, and, as we saw in this week’s Fear The Walking Dead, you need A REASON to keep going.

If there was ever a question of how difficult it is to make a go of surviving in either a zombie or a nuclear apocalypse, this week’s episode of Fear The Walking Dead answered it. There were many difficulties, from finding food that isn’t poisoned with radiation to ensuring you aren’t out in the irradiated wasteland for too long, compounded with trying to get away from the wasteland. Not to mention the juicy walkers that spread radioactive slime when destroyed, to dealing with hostiles, to caring for a child in this nightmarish hellscape, it became evident that survival was about as far from easy as you could get.

Because of this (as we saw throughout this episode), survival doesn’t just happen by accident. If you’re going to survive such circumstances, it’s because you want to survive, and if you’re going to survive, you must have a reason.

For this week’s Fear The Walking Dead, Survival Rule Of The Week, I’m going to lay out a few of the reasons you might have for carrying on in a zombie apocalypse, and maybe, more importantly, what could happen to you if you don’t have a reason.
