Did Jadis Walking Dead World Beyond take this TWD characters name?
By Renee Hansen
In the sneak peek of The Walk Dead: World Beyond’s next episode, “Who Are You?” we see a familiar face. The promised crossover of Jadis/Anne (Pollyanna McIntosh) from The Walking Dead finally made her appearance, but she has again changed her name.
In The Walking Dead’s ninth season, fans watched in horror as Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) blew up the bridge, sacrificing himself for his family. But, luckily, he was only injured and washed up on the shore of the river. He was then found by Anne, who radioed a CRM helicopter to come and rescue them.
She used the mysterious label of B to describe Rick, and they were both taken to parts unknown.
In the teaser clip for the upcoming episode, we see Anne, in full CRM garb, talking with Jennifer “Huck” Mallick (Annet Mahendru).
Jadis The Walking Dead World Beyond
It has been promised The Walking Dead World Beyond would give some hints or clues to Rick Grimes. The closest thing that has been revealed so far is the introduction of Jadis to the series, which will actually happen in the next episode that will air on AMC on November 7.
In the teaser, Jadis/Anne will once again have a name change, and this time, it is an interesting one. Huck addresses her as Warrant Officer Stokes. Who else do we know with this last name?
Father Gabriel Stokes, someone with whom Anne had a relationship that occurred in season nine. She betrayed him, but it seems she has now taken his surname as her own. This is strange since they weren’t together very long, but perhaps it was the first name that came to mind?
What will the addition of Jadis or rather Warrant Officer STokes mean to the CRM? I have never considered her an ally of Rick Grimes; she merely used him to ensure her escape to safety after she betrayed Gabriel and told him of her secret. She had been trading people to the CRM for quite some time. That was her original plan when she first had Rick and Gabriel in her clutches.
With Stokes’ arrival to the CRM facility, we also learn of the exit of Lieutenant Colonel Elizabeth Kublek. This is a sudden departure, and it will be interesting to see why she left.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond return to AMC on November 7 with a new episode, “Who Are You?” This episode is currently available on AMC+.
