Fear the Walking Dead, you are not alone

9) While it initially seems incongruous that Dakota would still be around as a walker for John to eventually put down in this episode if you watch the season six finale after the nuclear blast flash-fries her, you see her get engulfed by a dust cloud, but not actually vaporized.

10) Speaking of Dakota, while it was implied in the aforementioned season six finale that Teddy only brought her along to help him with the bunker. After seeing that Teddy’s embalming room was also stored there, it raises the question: Was Teddy going to embalm Dakota once he got her inside the bunker?

11) After killing the last of the Stalkers, John says to June: “You’re right. There’s some real ugly mustard up there.” “Ugly mustard” is a term we first heard from John Jr.’s debut episode, “What’s Your Story?”.

12) interestingly, John Sr. and June are the fourth and fifth members of Morgan’s group that Strand has either searched for, brought in, or tried to bring into his new sanctuary. For a guy who wanted to push away his old friends, he seems to be going out of his way to collect them all. While we get some explanation for this later, it looks strangely benevolent for Strand at this point. Maybe he plans to hold them as hostages against Morgan?

13) By the time John wakes up in Strand’s fortress, it’s been approximately seventy-three days since the nuke went off, and around three weeks since Strand killed Will at the end of “The Beacon”. We use what June says about how long it would have taken John Sr. to overcome his alcohol withdrawals and the calendar inside Teddy’s bunker to develop this timeline.
