Fear the Walking Dead has another first with this death

Everyone knows that The Walking Dead universe is especially cruel to horses, and recently they introduced an infant walker on Fear the Walking Dead. Now Fear TWD has another first in the most recent episode with another death we haven’t seen before.
In “Breathe With Me,” we witness Josiah, the twin brother of Emilie (Demetrius Grosse), and Morgan (Lennie James) in a fight. Josiah is seeking revenge for his brother’s death, intent on putting Morgan’s head in the box labeled for his head by Emilie.
Josiah brings out Emilie’s reanimated head to finish off Morgan but instead, Rufus, the bloodhound who has been such a loyal companion to many, is bit by Emilie’s head. Now I don’t know if fans are going to riot, but this was a sad loss.
Fear the Walking Dead Rufus
Rufus was Emilie’s dog, and in the most recent episode, Josiah shares that Rufus was trained as a cadaver dog. This training is why he was very helpful to Emilie while doing bounty hunting when he was first introduced.
When Emilie is killed, Rufus stays with Morgan and remains at the dam community.
Rachel used Rufus to ensure that baby Morgan got to safety. When Rachel realized her wound would kill her, she strapped the baby to her back and tied herself to Rufus before she killed herself. Once she reanimated, Rufus led baby Morgan back to the USS Pennsylvania.
Rufus was a great dog, and he was a loyal and helpful pooch. It was sad to see him bitten by Emilie’s severed head. Fans were none too pleased with this death. We are fine seeing anyone else die, but not the dog!
