Aisha Tyler plays Mickey Fear the Walking Dead
By Renee Hansen
Fear the Walking Dead is going strong in its seventh season. We have been introduced to a few new characters, and in this week’s episode “Till Death,” we will meet Mickey, who Aisha Tyler plays.
This season has been anthology-type episodes that some have criticized. But, it has been a great way to see how the characters are acclimating to the extreme landscape and atmospheric changes after the nuclear bomb explosion.
One huge change has been Strand sitting pretty in his tower as he recruits more people to his side. He is hellbent on proving that he is a better man than Morgan by creating and sustaining a community.
Mikey Fear the Walking Dead, Aisha Tyler
In the fifth episode of season seven, the primary focus is on Dwight (Austin Amelio) and Sherry (Christine Evangelista), but we do meet some new characters in this episode.
One notable character is played by Mo Collin’s husband, Alex Skuby. I won’t spoil anything here, but he does an outstanding job with his character in this episode.
Another character that fans have been waiting to meet is Mickey, which Aisha Tyler plays. She has been a part of TWD Family as a director and will now step into an acting role.
Tyler has directed episodes for Fear TWD and The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Her directorial debut in TWDU was the episode “J.D.” from season six of Fear TWD. This is where June (Jenna Elfman) stumbles upon her father-in-law John Dorie Sr. (Keith Carradine). She has directed two episodes in World Beyond’s second season, “Exit Wounds” and
“Family Is a Four Letter Word.”
The character she plays in this week’s Fear TWD episode is named Mickey, and so far, we don’t know anything about her. We have only seen one quick glimpse of her in a trailer, and she is having a gunfight with someone.
In the photo to the right, she is in a surrender pose so it will be interesting to see who she meets and what is going on in this scene.
Fear the Walking Dead returns to AMC on November 14 with “Till Death.” This episode is currently available to stream on AMC+.
