What time does Fear the Walking Dead come on?

The introduction of AMC+ also introduced all sorts of confusion in The Walking Dead universe. It is never clear what the “current” episode of the series is, when is it ok to talk publicly about an episode, and when does it air?

Technically the current episode is the one that airs on AMC on Sunday night. The episode that will air the following Sunday is available to watch one week early on AMC+. Clear as mud? Yup!

When AMC airs an episode, everyone is free to discuss and post information, etc. I basically use the rule that if the official social media for the series releases photos or teasers, those are free game at that point.

What time does Fear the Walking Dead’s current episode air?

All of the series in The Walking Dead universe air on Sunday nights. The Walking Dead always airs at 9 p.m. ET and 8 p.m CT. When The Walking Dead: World Beyond started its second season, it was aired immediately following the flagship series.

The Walking Dead is currently on hiatus so Fear the Walking Dead has stepped into the 9 p.m. ET and 8 p.m CT air time with World Beyond following.

That being said, ALL three of the series air the episodes a week early on AMC+. This is where all the confusion sets it. Personally, I am unsure what the point of AMC+ is as it takes away from the Sunday night viewing numbers and causes all this confusion within the fandom.

Fear the Walking Dead is midway through the first half of its seventh season, and World Beyond is over halfway through its second and final season. The Walking Dead is releasing its eleventh and final season in three parts, with part two premiering on February 20, 2022.
