Fear The Walking Dead, Till Death: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
Fear the Walking Dead Strand
7) Strand driving golf balls from the top of his tower onto the walkers down on the ground is very reminiscent of Steve, the rich douche from the 2004 remake of Dawn Of The Dead. Steve did the same thing during the film’s montage of the survivors adjusting to living in a mall. It’s fitting, really.
8) According to Strand and Howard, the tower has a population of two hundred people and a capacity of one thousand.
9) The fact Sherry is bothered by Strand calling the tower a “sanctuary” is a nice little reference to the Saviors’ former home, which Dwight and Sherry used to live in.
10) Mickey is the first professional wrestler we’ve met in any Walking Dead series.
11) This episode gets its name from multiple things, including the fact that Mickey and Cliff’s marriage-themed tag team had a finisher named “Till Death Do Us Part.” Also, the fact that most of the central characters (Dwight and Sherry, Kevin and Kim, and Mickey and Cliff) were either married or intended to be, the fact that Cliff was discovered to have died, and that the phrase “Till Death do us part” was part of Cliff’s final words to Mickey.
12) Kevin, Kim, and Briga Larson are the fourth, fifth, and sixth named characters to die this season, and Briga is the second named character to turn this season.
