Fear the Walking Dead, life is short

The crux of this week’s episode was about Al looking for Isabelle but not wanting to be with Isabelle, mostly because she was afraid of a life on the run. While it’s understandable that Al would be afraid of such a life, it’s also kind of silly when you think about it.

I say that because (And this is kind of a theme this week) there’s always something to fear in a zombie apocalypse. Whether it’s zombies, random crazies, or well-organized hostiles, there will always be something threatening to breath down your neck once the apocalypse begins, it isn’t really a good reason to throw away somebody you care about.

Because life is short enough as it is, and it can become much shorter in a zombie apocalypse, you might as well spend as much of that time as you can with the people you care about. If something should come up and make your life shorter, you wouldn’t want to have wasted the time you had pushing away those that meant the most to you.

Whatever time you have with the people you care about in the apocalypse, spend it with them, it’s not a regret you want, should anything bad happen to either you or them.
