Fear The Walking Dead, Reclamation: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
Fear the Walking Dead, Al’s interview
10) Morgan’s request for Althea to give him an interview in exchange for him saving her life is the reverse of the arrangement the pair made at the end of the season four opener, “What’s Your Story?”.
11) As Al begins to leave, Morgan’s speech to her about being “part of the story” and that she’s “not affected or connected” is similar to the theme laid out at the end of George A. Romero’s fifth entry into his Of The Dead series, Diary Of The Dead. In that film, the protagonist drew parallels between herself and her late boyfriend, filming the zombie apocalypse and journalists documenting wars and atrocities. Specifically, that being behind the camera made people feel disconnected to what they saw through it.
12) As the episode reaches the end, Al flies the CRM’s helicopter. When the Hell did she learn to do that? Was she a pilot this whole time? Did Isabelle teach her at some point?
13) Will Morgan and Grace face consequences from the CRM for interfering with the reclamation team? If they can track Isabelle, it stands to reason that they may follow the team to Morgan and Grace’s general area. We may have to keep our eyes peeled for that in the future.
