Fear the Walking Dead, trust your instincts

When it comes to the issue of trust in a zombie apocalypse, even more, important than trusting other people is trusting yourself.

You need to be able to have faith in the decisions that you make and have made. Doubt can become crippling in an apocalypse. I can cause you to become indecisive at the worst possible times because you’re constantly questioning whether or not your decision is the right one.

Now, this isn’t to say that you should stubbornly stick to bad decisions. Everyone makes bad decisions, and while they can be much more dangerous in a zombie apocalypse, they’re not guaranteed to be disastrous. Meaning there’s probably a chance to change course when you realize something doesn’t work. However, what will undoubtedly cause things to be disastrous will be digging in and sticking with a decision after it’s already proven to be a failure. If something’s not working, change it up.

The point, though, is that you need to make decisions and trust in your judgment. You need to be confident in what you’re doing and not be constantly plagued by doubt. Doubt can eat away at you just like a zombie can, except doubt is slower and more insidious.
