The Walking Dead World Beyond’s Alexa Mansour cast in new role

Alexa Mansour, who plays Hope in the spin-off series The Walking Dead World Beyond, has been cast in a new role. World Beyond recently aired its series finale that saw Hope working on major advancements in ridding the world of the undead, leaving her character open to future TWDU prospects. Until something would transpire, Deadline reports that Mansour has been cast in a new series at Paramount+ titled Players. 

The new series follows the fictional epsorts team League of Legends as they compete for their first championship. Players is a mockumentary series created by Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault, Funny or Die, Riot Games and CBS Studios.

Mansour has been cast in a recurring role as Emma, a popular streamer who loves and appreciates the game and the players. Other cast members include Luke Tennie (CSI: Vegas), Ely Henry (Connecting), Misha Brooks ( The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) with  Holly Chou, Da’Jour Jones, Peter Thurnwald and Arischa Conner.

The window has been left open for many of the cast of World Beyond to return and tell the rest of their story. In the final scenes of the series finale, we saw the main characters heading off to different parts of the United States pursuing their calling. Hope was seen in the new research facility, out from under the watchful eye of the CRM, with her father and other former CRM scientists working on her idea to utilize yeast to quickly decompose the undead.

This could mean we might see Hope and her father again in some spin-off, the movies, or perhaps an episode of Tales of the Walking Dead. 

Mansour is known for her roles in Home Before Dark, She’s in Portland, Madam Secretary, Seal Team, Unfriended: Dark Web and The Resident.
